  1. What kind of pedagogical innovations we have added in your courses?

We are very sensitive in understanding the pulse of the students on the one hand and the industry at the other. Consistency is maintainedtin revising the course curriculum to fnatch the dynamic industry. We are quite aware of the pace
at which the technology changes.Our thought process emphasises continuous refinement of the same. With this vision, we are able to provide good pool of dynamic brains to the industries and other sectors. Special emphasis is on overall development of the individual. Special personality development sessions are organised from the very first semester, wherein areas like corporate communication, soft skills training, value- added training, moral education and corporate ethics are the focus areas. Industries look at the candidates with the very niche requirement and our roles starts here, of assisting the industries by developing the talent pool for them.Technical workshops are organized for the students from the very first semester to provide them hands on training. Guest lecture series is organised by the corporate executives so that the students are aware of the recent and upcoming industry trends. Students are taken for industrial visits to understand the real dynamics of the industries. Various field trips are organised to develop various interpersonal skills, leadership skills and habit of teamwork.

LECTURE HALLS

In GNIOT, Lecture Halls and rooms are architecturally and aesthetically well designed and well ventilated. The furniture
in the rooms is perfectly designed for comfortable seating of the students. In addition to the traditional blackboards, to make the teaching-learning process multidimensional multimedia overhead projectors and LCD projectors are used. Moreover, the faculty adopts not simply the traditional lecture methodology, but also holds group discussion, quiz sessions, debates and other learner-centred modules. Various other audio-visual aids are also used to enrich the teaching­learning processes.

ABOUT LIBRARY

Library of GNIOT is known as Shree Ram Central Library. It is situated at ground floor in the main block. It has a collection of more than 77,500 books of Indian and foreign editions with approx 8,000 tides. A very useful Book Bank Scheme is available for all the students. GNIOT Library is computerised at functional level. Besides the subscription of 138 National/ International Print Journals/Magazines and 10 Newspapers, library has access of all AICTE-recommended E-resources in Digital Library section. The library is spread over an area of 712 Sq. mtr. To give an environment for study, library has 3 reading halls with total seating capacity for 200 students.

Ql. What makes Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies very unique?

Q2. How did the journey begin?

It was the cherished-dream to provide the people of Rajasthan with affordable but quality7 education and provide them medical facility with world-class teaching and research facility that set the pace for Geetanjali Education Society in 2002. Under which, the premier Engineering institute was the first stepping stone, and on Nov 11, 2006 the state-of-the-art Geetanjali Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) was established in a record time of 11 months. The various entities of Geetanjali University like medical college and hospital, college of physiotherapy, institute of pharmacy, school of nursing, have collectively fulfilled the inner desire of creating a system of higher education which is academically excellent and society viable.

Q3. What programmes are in place for overall development of the students?

In addition to educational programmes, we assist our students in identifying and developing their academic and career interest and setting the short-term and long-term goals through individual counseling. We achieve this through competency development cell (CDC) which acts as an interface between industry and the institute to streamline the placement rocess and guide students in choosing the best career options. With open mind we welcome and encourage all techhology innovations and best practices required for overall development of our students. Mr. J.P. Agarwal is a simple and soft-spoken person who is a chartered accountant by profession and began his journey in the year 1990 exporting Marble and granites and establishing^ Pacific Industries. In his business expansion, he started enterprises in Bangalore and Kami (a district in M.P.). Currently his Marble’s business is completely into export and famous for its Kami marbles. In 2002 Shri Agarwal established Geetanjali Education Society to fulfil his inner desire of creating a system of higher education which is academically sound and socially viable. Today this desire has blossomed into Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies. On November 11, 2006, Mr. Agarwal brought to realisation his cherished dream of providing the people of Rajasthan with modern and world-class health care at affordable prices at Udaipur. The Koneru Lakshmaiah Charities was established as a trust in the year 1980 and started KL College of Engineering in the Academic year 1980-81. The trust was converted into a Society by the name Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation in the year 1996. The KL College of Engineering attained autonomous status in the year 2006 and in February 2009, the Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation Society was recognised as Deemed to be University. In short, Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation has been named K L University.

KL University designed its programmes keeping in view the all­round development of the students. The design of the programmes is unique that more emphasis is laid on project-based and practice-based learning. Projects are done in the LABS and the practice is undertaken after delivery of every topic in the classrooms. The students are made to use the tools which are used in the industry. More emphasis is made in making the students gain problem­solving abilities with huge logic orientation that paves the way for getting the students placed in the Industry with ease. One more differentiator is taking research to the classrooms.
